The mission of the Department is consumer protection. To carry out this mission, DRE must ensure it has the necessary fiscal resources.
The Department protects consumers with stringent monitoring and oversight measures, which includes conducting thorough enforcement investigations, ensuring adherence to professional standards, and providing avenues for licensee redress in case of any complaint or audit findings.
